Services

Well services in Stockton & the valley.

Everything between the faucet and the bottom of your well, from a licensed C-57 well contractor.

Well pump repair & replacement

When the taps go dry or the pressure fades, the pump is the first suspect, but not always the culprit. We test before we pull: amp draw, voltage, pressure switch, tank and the water level in the well. If the pump has failed, we replace it with one sized to the well’s depth and yield and to how you actually use water, from a single house to a house, a barn and an orchard drip line.

  • Submersible well pumps
  • Jet and shallow-well pumps
  • Drop pipe, wire and check valves
  • Next-day restoration when the pump quits

Pump electrical & controls

A lot of “dead pumps” are really electrical: a burned pressure switch, a failed start capacitor in the control box, a tripping breaker or a damaged wire down the well. These parts run at 240 volts, so this is work for a licensed crew, not a weekend project. We trace the fault from the panel to the pump and fix what is actually wrong.

  • Pressure switches and control boxes
  • Breaker trips and wiring faults
  • Pump-saver and dry-run protection
  • Constant-pressure (variable speed) controllers

Pressure tanks & water systems

The pressure tank is what lets your pump rest between uses. When its air charge is gone, the pump clicks on and off every few seconds and wears itself out. We check the precharge, look for a waterlogged bladder, and add or replace tanks so the system runs smoothly. Adding a properly sized tank to an older setup is one of the best upgrades a well can get.

  • Bladder and diaphragm tanks
  • Precharge checks and adjustment
  • Tank upgrades on older systems
  • Gauges, tank tees and relief valves

Well & pipe repair

From a split line between the well and the house to a full rebuild of an old system, we find the leak or failure and repair it properly. Customers have trusted us with deep well repairs that left their systems working better than the original.

  • Well-to-house supply lines
  • Drop pipe and pitless adapters
  • Well caps and wellhead sanitary seals
  • Full system rebuilds

Water treatment systems

Valley groundwater can carry nitrate, arsenic, iron, manganese, hardness and, in some wells, farm fumigants. The right treatment depends on the test, not a guess. Start with a test from a state-certified lab; then we can talk through filters, softeners or point-of-use systems that fit the result and your budget.

  • Sediment and whole-house filtration
  • Iron and manganese treatment
  • Softening for hard water
  • Point-of-use systems for drinking water

Well drilling & well destruction

As a C-57 well drilling contractor, we can construct, deepen and destroy water wells, with the county permit, sanitary seal and state Well Completion Report the law requires. When a well has gone dry, collapsed or produces poor water, we’ll help you weigh repair, deepening or replacement, and what the local groundwater rules mean for a new well.

  • New domestic and agricultural wells
  • Replacement wells after a dry well
  • Well destruction under permit
  • Permit applications and paperwork

Pricing

A clear price before we start.

We diagnose first, explain the options plainly and give you the price before any work begins. Customers have called us “very transparent about the pricing,” and we mean to keep it that way.

Permits

The paperwork is part of the job.

San Joaquin County requires a permit for pump replacements as well as new wells and well destruction; Stanislaus, Contra Costa and Alameda counties have their own programs. As a C-57 contractor, we apply for the permits and file the state Well Completion Report when the law requires it.

No water? Check the well pump’s breaker. If it trips again, leave it off and call. Never open the pressure switch, control box or wellhead wiring: they’re live at 240 volts. Water suddenly changed color, smell or taste, or the well flooded? Don’t drink it until it’s tested; use bottled water. Smell gas? Leave the building and call the gas utility or 911 from outside.
